This Toyota Tundra TRD came to us in a color you don't see every day. That warm tan - almost a desert sand tone - is the kind of finish that turns heads, and it deserves to be treated right. A quick drive-through wash was never going to cut it here.
We started with a full exterior hand wash, working panel by panel to lift off road grime and dust without scratching that paint. Hand washing matters more than most people realize. Automated car washes use stiff bristles and harsh chemicals that can leave micro-scratches in the clear coat over time. Doing it by hand gives us control - and it shows in the finish.
After the wash, we moved into wax and polish. A good wax isn't just about looks. It puts a protective layer between your paint and everything the road throws at it - UV rays, water, bird droppings, road debris. It also makes future washes way easier because dirt and grime can't bond as easily to a waxed surface. On a color like this one, that glossy depth really comes through when the wax is applied right.
We also took care of the wheels and tires. The TRD black wheels on this truck are sharp, and we made sure they stayed that way - cleaned out the brake dust from the spokes and dressed the tires so the contrast between those black wheels and that tan body really pops. It's one of those small details that makes the whole thing look finished.
Taking care of the paint on a truck like this isn't just about pride of ownership - it's about protecting an investment. Regular washing and waxing keeps the clear coat in good shape and helps hold the vehicle's value over the long haul. This Tundra left looking exactly how it should.
