Some vehicles just need more than a basic wash. This Grand Cherokee Summit came in looking decent on the surface, but the paint had buildup that a hose and soap wouldn't touch - and the interior needed a serious deep clean to match what the outside could look like with the right treatment.
We ran it through our Tier 2 detail, which starts with a thorough interior detailing. Every surface gets attention - the dash, door panels, vents, and the leather seats get cleaned and conditioned so they stay soft and don't dry out or crack over time. The cabin on this Summit came out looking sharp. Clean leather, tidy carpet, and a dash that doesn't have that grimy film sitting on it.
On the exterior, we did a full clay bar decontamination before touching the paint with anything else. Clay pulls out the embedded contaminants that washing leaves behind - brake dust, industrial fallout, road grime that bonds to the clear coat. You can't just wax over that stuff and expect good results. Once the surface was properly prepped, we applied a ceramic sealant to lock in protection and give the paint that deep, glossy finish.
Black paint is unforgiving. It shows everything - water spots, swirls, dust. Getting it right takes patience and the right process. The ceramic sealant we applied also makes maintenance easier going forward, since water and dirt don't bond to the surface as aggressively.
If your vehicle is past the point where a quick wash is going to cut it, a full detail is the right call. This is the kind of work that actually protects your investment long-term, not just makes it look clean for a week.
