A lot of people think a brand new car doesn't need any attention right away. It looks perfect off the lot, so why bother? Here's the thing - that factory finish needs protection from day one. UV exposure, road grime, and everyday contaminants start working against the paint almost immediately.

That's exactly the mindset behind this Chevy Equinox EV we took care of. Deep crimson paint, blacked-out wheels, a sharp two-tone roof - this thing already turned heads. Our job was to make sure it stays that way. We started with a thorough exterior hand wash to get the surface completely clean before anything else touched it.

From there, we moved into a full wax and polish treatment. That layer of wax isn't just about shine - it sits on top of the clear coat and acts as a barrier. It takes the hit so the paint doesn't have to. On a dark color like this, that protection also means the finish keeps that deep, wet-looking gloss instead of going dull and flat over time.

We also gave the wheels and tires a proper going-over as part of our wheel and tire detailing. Those multi-spoke black wheels have a lot of surface area with tight angles to get into. Done right, clean wheels make the whole vehicle look finished. Done wrong, or skipped altogether, it's the first thing people notice.

Getting ahead of it early - before the finish sees real wear - is always easier than trying to correct it later. A good wash and wax routine started now protects the investment you just made and keeps that new-car look lasting well beyond the first few months.
