Getting a ceramic coating is a big investment. But here's the thing most people don't realize - the coating only stays at its best if you maintain it properly. Skip the regular upkeep, and you're basically letting contaminants sit on top of the coating, dulling that gloss and making it work harder than it should.
This BMW X5 already had ceramic protection on it. So our job wasn't to restore anything. It was to keep what was already there performing the way it should. That means a careful exterior hand wash to pull off surface contamination without scratching or degrading the coating, followed by wheel and tire detailing to keep those blacked-out wheels looking sharp and clean.
We also took care of the interior. The leather seats, door panels, and cabin surfaces all got proper attention. A clean interior matters just as much as a clean exterior - especially on a vehicle at this level. The leather looked great and just needed to be maintained, not rescued.
That's really the point of a maintenance detail. It's not dramatic. It's consistent, careful work that protects what you've already put money into. A coating that gets maintained regularly is noticeably easier to wash, holds its hydrophobic properties longer, and keeps that deep gloss going strong over time.
If you've got a ceramic-coated vehicle and it's been a while since its last proper maintenance wash, that's worth paying attention to. Regular care is what separates a coating that performs for years from one that looks tired long before it should.
