Engine bays collect a specific kind of filth: road dust baked onto hot metal, oil mist off the valve cover, leaf litter in the cowl, and a film of everything else the car has driven through. None of it washes off with a hose.
We degrease it, agitate the stubborn areas by hand with brushes, rinse under controlled low pressure with the sensitive parts covered, blow it dry, and dress the plastics and hoses satin so nothing looks wet or greasy.
